BRIEF PROFILE OF ING. GEORGE LAMIN VANDI, ESQ. Ing. George Lamin Vandi, Esq. has more than 30 years professional and field experience in the areas of Civil Engineering in various sectors such as implementation of works in the construction industry; Contract Management; Water Resources Management; Procurement and Supply Chain Management; Project Management; Infrastructure and Construction Management; Public Financial Management; Trainings; and Consulting in the public and private sectors, with over half of this period in senior and executive management. He has vast knowledge and hands-on experience in management at strategic level and working with Development Partners such as World Bank, African Development Bank, Islamic Development Bank, EU, and Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and Non-Governmental Organisations (both national and international). He has wide experience in project management, administration and coordination; managing and undertaking activities in every stage of the project cycle (Identification, Preparation, Appraisal, Negotiations, Implementation and Evaluation) and in particular fiduciary management of multilateral and bilateral funded and administered Projects, and other public and private sector Projects. He is also an expert in preparing high level reports, Project Proposals and Project Appraisal Documents; preparing contract documents; planning, facilitating and executing trainings, among others. He has successfully team-led various projects including civil works construction and rehabilitation management projects, executed youth-related projects and community-based projects, and implemented other projects in various sectors. He is a Civil Engineer, Chartered Procurement Specialist (MCIP) with vast experience in Project Management and contract specialist/expert. He is experienced in managing large numbers of multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders. He is highly skilled in Monitoring and Evaluation of projects: preparing and monitoring Logical Framework/Results Framework and Implementation Status Reports. He also has the following abilities and capabilities: Change management, contract management and implementation, strategic leadership and public financial management skills; strategies to facilitate results-based implementation of project; vast knowledge of the fiduciary management; capacity development; experience in building lasting partnerships with development partners, civil society, various types of communities; persons that are disadvantaged and the poor; demonstrated leadership; ability to lead strategic planning, results-based management and reporting; excellent supervisory skills (coaching, mentoring and motivating staff); capacity building skills with a passion for knowledge transfer; proficiency in the use of various software applications.
