Our Organizational Structure
The organizational structure of Attorneys 4 All (A4A) is designed to ensure effective leadership, accountability, and smooth operations across all departments. The structure highlights the flow of authority and responsibilities from the top leadership to support staff.
- Governance and Leadership
- Board of Trustees – The highest governing body providing oversight and strategic direction.
- Executive Director – Reports to the Board of Trustees and provides executive leadership to the organization.
- Country Director – Oversees the day-to-day management and implementation of programs in the country office.
- Head of Internal Audit – Reports directly to the Country Director and provides independent assurance on governance, risk management, and control processes.
- Directorates
The organization is structured into three main directorates, each led by a director who manages specific functional areas:
- a) Directorate of Legal Affairs
- Director of Legal Affairs – Provides leadership and oversight for all legal programs.
- Program Manager, Legal Affairs – Supports program planning and execution within the legal unit.
- Legal Officers – Handle case management, legal aid, and advocacy activities.
- Legal Assistants – Provide administrative and paralegal support to Legal Officers.
- b) Directorate of Finance, Administration & Human Resources (Admin & HR)
- Director of Finance, Admin & HR – Oversees financial management, human resources, procurement, and administration.
- Admin & HR Manager: Supported by Admin & HR Officers, Assistants, and Office Assistants/Drivers.
- Finance Manager: Supported by Finance Officers and Finance Assistants, ensuring transparent financial operations.
- Procurement Manager: Supported by Procurement Officers and Procurement Assistants, responsible for sourcing and supply management.
- c) Directorate of Planning
- Director of Planning – Leads organizational planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Planning & M&E Manager – Ensures program effectiveness through monitoring and evaluation.
- Planning & M&E Officers – Conduct program assessments, data collection, and reporting.
- Planning & M&E Assistants – Provide technical and logistical support to the officers.
The A4A organogram shows a clear chain of command that enhances accountability, efficiency, and service delivery. Each unit is structured to support the organization’s mission of providing accessible and effective legal aid, while also ensuring strong internal systems in finance, administration, planning, and monitoring.
